Here at the Baytown Coffee Company we are passionate about coffee and have always wanted to add guest coffees to our selection but as a small business we hadn't been able to. With the launch of our new website it is the perfect time to offer some diversification with new coffees.
Each quarter we will launch a new single origin guest coffee. This quarters' is Silver Street, a lively organic coffee from Honduras, this single origin light roast has flavour notes of black tea, grapefruit, and lime. This washed coffee has a delicate acidity with a tea like body, great for filter coffee, or it works just as well in one of our V60 pour overs. We think this coffee is quite versatile and works with or without milk.
Renan Barjuto owns the farm, Entre Robles which translates to ‘between oaks’ and stands at 1,400 – 1,700 masl. This coffee is shade grown on rich volcanic soil and only the ripe coffee cherries are hand-picked by local men and women and sent to the local cooperative for processing. All the coffee pulp taken off the beans is used for organic fertiliser as well as being used to combat the Roya leaf rust disease - so nothing goes to waste.
